seriously, if you can walk and read at the same time, then maybe you should breed with others who enjoy walking and reading at the same time to create some sort of super human race. i mean if you are that coordinated, then put that to some good use rather than getting in my way. sheesh.

I'm one of your culprits, but only once in awhile, usually when I'm near the end of a book and rapt--or just in the middle and rapt. Once, in Chicago, I was nearly run over because I was so immersed in the new J.M. Coetzee novel, which I was reading the first few pages of as I emerged from the bookstore where I had purchased it.
...by J.M. Coetzee, no less!
