maybe it's just me...

so the other night, darkpony and i were obligated to go out to dinner with some friends and their friends. a friend of the friends asked where we lived and we said, "long island city," and then, the most annoying friend of the friends said, "oh, it's so nice there with all of the waterfront development and the water taxi beach."

ughs! really? shut up! i hate you! seriously, new york city is full of tools like these people who are purchasing luxury condos and spending their evenings at the water taxi beach after the p.s. 1 warm-up (you already know i hate that), which is hardly on the water but is just a big, fenced-in sand pit with a bunch of jimmy buffett types. yuck!

and then, there's this awful lic magazine called ins&outs which had this article about all of the luxury condos going up in the lic area. here are some highlights:
-you can buy an artist's loft for only $500 a sqare foot which which will include an espresso machine and a liquid display something or other in the kitchen! awesome! what a steal!
-did you know that the corocoran group did a study, and they found the area around queens plaza to be highly artistic a.k.a. undeveloped yet close to manhattan. wow!
