people who annoy me today

i was having a really good run of no one annoying me for two whole days, and i thought, "have i changed?" nope! where should i begin? well, while i was taking my lunchtime stroll through central park, some teenager called me a "dude." you know because i'm a girl with short hair. wow, i haven't heard that one since about 1990 when i lived in a town full of rednecks. then, there was that guy who thought it would be pleasant to belch in my ear. and finally i'm naming the manager of the chase branch on 57th st. and 7th ave. as someone who annoys me today. yes, it is always a great idea to only have one teller working during this thing called the lunch hour. ever heard of it?

my cats say the darndest things!

you may not know this but my cats are really great at coming up with original jokes. here's a zinger that pony p. came up with yesterday.

so we all receive spam about viagra and all that jazz, but i did have to giggle today when i saw that a spammer's name in my inbox was potent h. hotcakes. ah yes, my good friend, potent h. hotcakes. i've been wondering what he's been up to since college...

wendy's 99 cent menu update

good news! wendy's has added a crispy chicken sandwich to its 99 cent menu, and it's yummy. I tried it today. the bad news is that since the new hearst building went up at 56th st and 8th ave, so have the prices of the 99 cent baked potatoes and salads. they are now $1.09. does wendy's really think those magazine girls are going to be stormin' the place for salads? at least wendy's knows who they're true customer base is by keeping the meat cheap. boo yah!

people who annoy me today

this is a new feature that i hope to post on a daily basis because, seriously, i have no tolerance for anyone. really!

you know what guy annoyed me today and most every day this happens, the guy that has to stick his head out the subway door at every stop and look around at the platform (and i'm not talkin' about the conductor!). that guy annoys me. whatcha lookin' for? even worse, is when a train is being held in a station for a long period of time, that guy just can't sit and wait patiently. he has to be half in and half out of the train seeing what's happening even though the train is being held because of a red signal. gosh, that guy annoys me!

mcsucky...big time!

so, i'm totally done with that grey's anatomy. meredith was like dead for four hours, and they revived her? did i miss some medical explanation for this? was it because her body was so cold, she was not technically dead? anyhoo, who cares. i mean if they can revive meredith after four hours, then those doctors should be able to revive any of their other patients. with everyone else, they give about 30 seconds of cpr, and a chest jolt. then if nothing happens, the patient is declared dead. stupid. stick a fork in me. i'm done.

apology

so, someone was complaining to me the other day that she is going to start her own blog because i just haven't been posting very often. well, i'm now trying to appease said person, so please forgive me for my random posts...such as the previous one about the clown party.

did i ever tell you about

the time darkpony and i were walking in greenpoint and came across a backyard party full of clowns? everyone was dressed as a clown but not in an ironic, hipster way. these were actually old clowns just hanging out having a bbq. it was scary and depressing. it was like that moving starring bobcat goldthwaite, shakes the clown.
anyhoo, the funny part of this story (i guess) is that jamie sabuda tried to tell US this story like it had happened to him. sadly, we had to set him straight. poor jamie sabuda!
p.s. i tell stories about jamie sabuda because he likes to google himself. often.

hello...stalker

i was just swaying to the sweet sounds of lionel richie's "hello" on my ipod and thought i've got to watch the video right now. i didn't remember that there was quite a backstory to the whole thing with lionel being some sort of a professor, stalking the beautiful blind student who is involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. i do remember that she sculpted his head. hilarious. enjoy it here. p.s. there's sound!

creepy subway ad alert!

so, i think organ donation is a really great thing, but i don't need to know that jerry orbach, of dirty dancing fame, donated his eyeballs. super creepy!

finally, a decent celebrity sighting

i forgot to tell you that i saw my favorite person, max fischer aka jason schwartzman, in soho last week. when i was exiting the apc store, he was coming in, so i had to wait for him. then, he totally tripped on the step which made me chuckle. i know that he must have been distracted by my beauty! i'm also excited because i saw that he is filming the new wes anderson film here in nyc. yeah wes anderson!
