customer service really is dead
yesterday evening, darkpony was starving to death, so we decided to go to that brooklyn diner on 57th street between broadway and 7th avenue. i know, i know, but he was starving. anyway, it's like 6:15 and not very crowded, so we ask if we can sit at a booth by the window. the host says, "those are for four people," and leads us to some tiny booth in the middle of the restaurant by the bathrooms and the waiters' station. after we sit down, we notice that everyone sitting at the "four person" booths by the windows are only two people. this gets darkpony riled up, so we decide to leave cuz we're like, "fuck this." darkpony picks up our menus and hands them back to the host and says, "i guess you can't count because all of the four person booths only have two people." then, the host really zings us with, "don't come back!" okay! you got us good! zing zong! darkpony correlated the host's lame retort to when someone is fired from a job but then they say they were quitting anyway.
so what have we learned about the brooklyn diner? it sucks. it's overpriced , and it's not even a real diner. it's a fake diner! and good job trying to make it look like an elegant restaurant after the sun sets with dark lighting and candles. it's still a fake diner! seriously, i'm so glad business is soooo awesome that you don't care if you lose two paying customers.
also, since yesterday was the anniversary of 9/11, we will never forget...how much the brooklyn diner sucks!
p.s. we ended up having a really nice dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, the great american health bar, and we were allowed to sit in a four person booth!
